Obituary for John P. Williams
John Paul Williams, son of the late Grover Williams and Pauline Suznick Williams was born in Perry County, Kentucky, May 20, 1943. He entered eternal life Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 70 years, 10 months, and 10 days of age at the time of his passing. John married Earlene Cornett, October 23, 1965 in Blackey, Kentucky. He was a member of the Whitesburg First Baptist Church and served as a deacon and a sunday school teacher for the youth department. He served on the Whitesburg City Council from 2001 to 2014 and Whitesburg Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years. He served on the Police Board for six years and was also a member of the Whitesburg Masonic Lodge # 754 and a Shriner. He was a loving husband, father, papaw and a great friend to all that knew him. He is survived by his loving wife Earlene Williams of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Two daughters; Wendy Little and husband Claude of Whitesburg, Kentucky and Nikki Bowling and husband Marcus of Madisonville, Kentucky. One sister, Edith Atcher of Lexington, Kentucky. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Luke, Jake, Sam, Jonah, and Josie and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
