Obituary for Ray "Bumper" Martin
Ray "Bumper" Martin, 67, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday morning, March 11, 2014 in Hospice of Dayton. He was born April 20, 1946 in Whitesburg, Kentucky, the son of the late French and Helen Johnson Martin. Bumper enjoyed driving his truck, reading his bible, playing scratch offs and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Shirley L. (Bowmaster) Martin; four daughters, Tammy (Grant Jr) Eldridge of Jeremiah, Kentucky, Helen Martin of Springfield, Ohio, Tabitha (Eddie) Bennett of Springfield, Ohio, and Michelle ( Hacksaw) Perkins of Isom, Kentucky; one son, Timothy Ray "Bumper" Martin of Isom, Kentucky; four sisters, Linda, Mary, Joan and Laverne; two brothers, Peter and Earl Dean Martin; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his four brothers and two sisters.
