Obituary for Barbara Sue Hughes
Barbara Sue Hughes, daughter to the late Carroll Shackleford and Sara Ruth Hampton Shackleford. was born in San Francisco, California, December 17, 1953. She entered eternal life on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the Greg Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky , August 29, 2024 being 70 years, 8 months and 12 days of age at the time of her passing.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, and going on trips to the beach hunting for sea shells. She was a dedicated substitute Teacher who loved teaching children.
She is survived by two loving daughters, Jenna (Matthew) Caudill of Whitesburg, Kentucky and Jolene (Jeff) Rethwisch of Lakeville, Minnesota, two sisters, Debbie Shackleford of Craft Colly, Kentucky and Kathy Thissen of Vine Grove, Kentucky, a brother, Donald Shackleford.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, Aiden, Charli, Amelia, Ty, Easton and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by a daughter Candy Craft, two brothers, Jonathan Shackleford and Ronald Shackleford.
