Obituary for Melvie Fields
Melvie Fields, daughter of the late Melvin and Polly Morton Salyers was born May 5, 1927 in Letcher County, Kentucky. She entered eternal life Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the Letcher Manor Nursing Home in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 95 years, 5 months and 13 days of age at the time of her passing.
Melvie married Cleveland Fields in July of 1949. She loved working in her flowers, sewing and collecting angels. She enjoyed working in her flowers, sewing, collecting angels and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a daughter; Alesa Reed of Neon, Kentucky. Two sons; Roger (Pamela) Fields of Pikeville and Bennie Fields of Neon, Kentucky. One brother, Clinard Salyers of Michigan.
Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Fields. Two sons; Frank and Kenneth Fields. And several brothers and sisters.
