Obituary for Margaret Adams
Margaret Ann Adams, 88, of Mayking, passed away January 11, 2021, at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky.
She was the daughter of Charles and Armina (Flinchum) Adams and the wife of the late Gordon Adams Jr. and the mother of one son, the late Gordon Ernest Adams. Margaret was a long standing member of the Thornton Association Of The Old Regular Baptist Church in Mayking. Many of the community may remember her from her years of working at Crafts Department Store and Walmart in Whitesburg. We will miss hearing her sing and play her organ.
She was preceded in death by nine siblings; Charles Adams Jr., James Benjamin Adams, William Curtis Adams, Happy Nelle LeMaster, Alice Marie Burton, Geraldine Holbrook, Maxine Louise Taylor, an infant brother and an infant sister.
Surviving are two granddaughters; Angela and husband Matthew Busick, Lindsay and husband Antonio Parente, and one grandson, Charles Gordon and wife, Tiffany Adams, all of Indiana. Eleven great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are one brother, Paul Dean and wife Joyceleen Adams of Mayking, and a sister, Martha Elizabeth Caudill of Plainfield, Illinois.
A memorial and interment service will be held at Webb Cemetery in Mayking, Kentucky.
