Obituary for Imogene Sexton
Imogene Sexton, daughter of the late Grant and Hettie Banks Sturgill was born at Colson, Kentucky December 30, 1930. She entered eternal life Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at her residence at Colson, Kentucky being 89 years and 1 day of age at the time of her passing.
Imogene was married to the late Lovell Sexton, he passed away August 14, 1986. She was a member of the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Imogene was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all that knew her. She enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by two daughters; Sandra (Terry) Wilson of Colson, Kentucky and Tricia (Robert) Lewis of Cowan, Kentucky. Five sons; Robert Sexton of Bean Station, Tennessee, Charles Ralph (Belinda) Sexton of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Stanley Sexton of Colson, Kentucky, Roger (Sharon) Sexton of Rutledge, Tennessee and Lovell (Robyn) Sexton Jr. of Sandlick, Kentucky.
Also surviving are 16 grandchildren; Michelle, Mike, Melanie, Shelley, Paula, Bridgett, Tracy, Dewayne, Brian, Rodney, Melissa, Candice, Hannah, Logan, Brett and Paige, 25 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Imogene was preceded in death by a sister; Betty Gilbert. Four brothers; Woodrow Sexton, Leroy Sexton, Clinton Sexton and James Sturgill. A daugter-in-law, Betty Sexton.
