Obituary for Zelma June Sumpter
Zelma June Sumpter, daughter of the late Cody and Etta Little Mullins was born in Fleming Neon, Kentucky. August 24, 1953. She entered eternal life Saturday, July 8, 2017 at her residence at McRoberts, Kentucky being 63 years, 10 months and 14 days of age at the time of her passing.
Zelma was married to the late Ray Sumpter, he passed away July 16, 2006. She was a member of the Jeremiah Missionary Baptist Church for over thirty years. She was always there to help in anyway she could. Heaven gained a true angel with her. She will be missed here on earth, we love you until we meet again.
She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie (Ernie Isaac) Caudill of Winchester, Kentucky and Tiffany Sumpter (Tommy Roark) of Whitesburg, Kentucky. One son, Raymond Sumpter of McRoberts, Kentucky. Two step-daughters, Stephanie (Owen) Russell of Cowan, Kentucky and Leslie (Randy) Day of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Three sisters, Margie Robinette of Bristol, Tennessee, Shirley Krull of Blountville, Tennessee and Betty Hedgespeth of Greensburg, Kentucky. Two brothers, Victor Mullins of McRoberts, Kentucky and Cody Mullins, Jr (Martha) of McRoberts, Kentucky.
Also surviving are are four grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Zelma was preceded in death by two sisters, Nell Everidge and Nora Holmes. A brother, Clarence Mullins.
