Obituary for Wiley Polly
Wiley Polly, companion, father, neighbor and friend, was born at Bottom Fork, Kentucky on June 22, 1922 to Robert and Ellen Webb Polly. He entered eternal life on July 9, 2015 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Hospital, having lived 93 years and 17 days. Wiley Polly was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish. Wiley Polly married Geneva Adams Polly on November 1, 1947 who preceded him in death on July 4, 1981. From this union three children were born. One son, Gary Neal Polly of Mayking, Kentucky. Two daughters, Dewanna Isaac of Deane, Kentucky and Madonna Combs of Frankfort, Kentucky. Nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren. Two son in laws; James Isaac and James Coy Combs. One daughter in law, Debra Polly. Wiley later married Margaret Collins Polly who also preceded him in death. From this union are two step sons, William Collins of Thornton, Kentucky and Gary Collins of McRoberts, Kentucky. One step daughter, Sharaan Collins of Lexington, Kentucky. Two step daughter in laws, Donna Collins and Ginger Collins. Six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Wiley was preceded in death by three sisters; Nannie Cook, Ida Bell Lindley and Ruth Caudill. Five brothers; Carl Polly, Curtis Polly, Add Polly, Willard Polly and Troy Polly. Surviving is one sister, Ritter Cook of Norton, Virginia.
