Obituary for Wanda Gaye Sexton
Wanda Gaye Niece Marshall, daughter of the late John and Cora Lee Bangus Marshall was born in Johnson City, Tennessee on March 23, 1941. She entered eternal life on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital being 72 years, 2 months and 19 days of age at the time of her passing. She married David Sexton on October 4, 1957 in Letcher County, Kentucky. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed working with her flowers, reading and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, David M. Sexton of Sandlick, Kentucky. Two daughters; Stephanie Williams of Sharps Chapel, Tennessee and Daveena Sexton of Abingdon, Virginia. One granddaughter, Hannah Jamison (Russell Waddell) of Lexington, Kentucky. Two sisters; Deborah Marshall of Greenville, South Carolina and Joyce Rich of Knoxville, Tennessee. Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Herman Marshall and Cora Lee Bangus Marshall. A beloved son-in-law, Monroe Jamison Jr. A sister, Audrey Hall of Las Vegas, Nevada. One brother, Jack Marshall of Jonesboro, Tennessee.
