Obituary for Walter Allen
Walter Lee Allen, son of the late Alex and Reitha Johnson Allen was born in Hazard, Kentucky, November 7, 1964. He entered eternal life Friday, December 8, 2023 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital being 59 years, 1 month and 1 day of age at the time of his passing.
Walter was a member of the Hemphill Baptist Church at Hemphill, Kentucky for 20 years. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to all that knew him. Walter enjoyed classic vehicles, golfing, going to the beach but most all spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Medina G. Allen of Mayking, Kentucky. One son, Ted Allen of Mayking, Kentucky. One brother, Minor (Shawnda) Allen of Hazard, Kentucky. His mother-in-law, Lula Cook of Thornton, Kentucky. His grand doggy, Hercules.
Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Walter was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ted Cook.
