Obituary for Violet Jean Elkins Mullins
Violet Jean Elkins Mullins, 80, of Jenkins, Kentucky passed from this
life to join her precious Lord and Savior, August 24, 2019 while surrounded by her family. She trusted and had faith in GOD for her ultimate healing, which she received when she took her first breath in Heaven. Her love for her Savior was obvious in everything she did since becoming a Christian February 4, 1980.
She was born in Dorton, KY to Jack and Roxie Elkins September 2, 1938. She was the youngest of 16 children, whom all preceded her in death, except One special brother, Johnnie(Linda) Elkins, Mesa, AZ.
She was a loving, caring, devoted, selfless wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She married Harold Mullins, August 5, 1961. They had just celebrated 58 joyous years together . He always called her "Tiny" and She was the love of his life.
To their union were born 6 children who survive her passing: Deborah(Boyd) Davis, Jenkins, KY, Richard(Dawn) Mullins, Mayking, KY, Joyce Stephens(Russell Buchanan ), Berea, KY, Rita(Bobby) Balthis, Cromona, KY, Roxie(Gary)Rose, Jenkins, KY and Jackie(Kevin) Austin, Haymond, KY. Along with 12 grandchildren and 9 great granchildren.
Her precious grandson Andrew Mullins had went to be with the Lord exactly 5 months to the date ahead of her and we are sure he was waiting with open arms to greet her.
She was known for her generosity and giving, caring heart. All who met her fell in love with her within minutes of meeting her. Her husband and children along with grandchildren and great grandchildren were the loves of her life and she left such a wonderful impression on their lives that she will never be forgotten and will be sorely missed forever.
Revelations 21:4 "And GOD shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.
