Obituary for Thomas David Sexton
Thomas David Sexton, son of the late Harrison Sexton and Dixie Sexton was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky May 16, 1937. He entered eternal life Friday October 20, 2017 at his residence in Sandlick, Kentucky being 80 years, 5 months and 4 days of age at the time of his passing.
David married Rena Vaye Sexton. She passed away March 20, 2001. He later married Shelia Johnson Sexton. He was a loving husband, father, papaw and a great friend to all that knew him. Shelias favorite verse to David was "My Baby Of The World Of Everyday".
He is survived by his loving wife, Shelia Sexton of Sandlick, Kentucky. Three daughters, Ruthie (James) Sturgill of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Kathy (Rodney) Donnelly of Van, Kentucky and Regina (Earl) Johnson of Thornton, Kentucky. One step-daughter, Crystal Sturgill of Eolia, Kentucky. Two sons, David Harrison Sexton of Sandlick, Kentucky and Bill (Jane) Sexton of Thornton, Kentucky. One step-son, Mark (Brittney) of Eolia, Kentucky.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
David is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Rebecca Sexton. One grandson, Jamie Sturgill. Two great-grandsons, William Ray Sexton and Donnie Ray Sexton. Two brothers and five sisters.
