Obituary for Thelma. Banks
Thelma A. Banks, daughter of the late Harvey and Flora Collins Addington was born in Letcher County, Kentucky February 16, 1924. She entered eternal life Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Whitesburg Appalacian Regional Hospital being 90 years, 11 months and 7 days of age at the time of her passing. Thelma was married to the late Willis B. (Wid) Banks. He passed away January 7, 1983. She was a devoted christian and a member of the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Thelma was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew her. She is survived by three sons; John Willis Banks and Angie of Myra, Kentucky, Paul Douglas Banks and Pearl of Sandlick, Kentucky and Stephen T. Banks and Tommye of Sandlick, Kentucky. Six grandchildren; Amy, Paul Willis "Lil Wid" (Christy), Whitney (Kevin), Allie, Jason and Charlie. Two great grandchildren; Kyleigh and Kimber. Also surviving is a special great niece Darlene and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Thelma was preceded in death by four brothers; Vincent Addington, Dewey Addington, Butler Addington and Hassel Addington. Five sisters; Clarena Addington, Bessie A. Meehling, Hazel A. Byrd, Delma A. Collins and Hester V. Addington.
