Obituary for Sybilla Combs Johnson
Sybilla Combs Johnson, daughter of the late Forest and Lola Adams Combs was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, October 12, 1928. She entered eternal life Thursday, March 16, 2023 at her residence in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 94 years, 5 months and four days at the time of her passing.
Sybilla married Bernie Johnson. He passed away December 8, 2017. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great friend to all that knew her. She joined the Old Regular Baptist in 1968.
She is survived by two loving daughters, Sherry Whitaker of Whitesburg, Kentucky and Stephanie (Greg) Addington of Cowan, Kentucky, a special friend, Shelia Swisher.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Nikki Sartin, Candice Eldridge, Larissa Russell, six great-grandchildren, Harley, Ace, Maverick, Noah, Rose Victoria, Henry Ezra and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Scottie Johnson, two sisters, Naomi Combs and Sue Combs, two brothers, Ronnie Combs and Raymond Combs , son-in-law, Junior Whitaker.
