Obituary for Sweila Coots
Sweila Faye Coots, daughter of the late Nora Day Raleigh and Wesley Raleigh was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, November 20, 1944. She entered eternal life on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the Greg Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 79 years, 7 months and 1 day of age at the time of her passing.
Sweila married Jerry Wayne Coots on September 19, 1964. He passed away December 1, 2016. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew her. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Scarlett (Shawn) Day of Columbus, Indiana, a son, Gregory Wayne (Maxie) Coots of Kingscreek, Kentucky.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jack Wesley, Nicholas Ford, Sara Kayli, Sydney Jane and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Samantha Coots.
