Obituary for Steven C. Sexton
Steven Carroll Sexton, son of the late Kerney Sexton and Elma Caudill Sexton was born at Little Colly, Kentucky, August 9, 1934. He entered eternal life Friday, June 23, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky being 88 years, 9 months and 14 days of age at the time of his passing.
Steven was married to the late Glenda Brooks Sexton, September 4, 1955. She passed away, June 12, 2019. He was a loving father, uncle and great friend to all that knew him. Steve was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitesburg, Kentucky since 1964, where he served as a deacon, chairman of Deacons and Sunday School Director. He was a US Veteran having served in the US Navy.
He is survived by a loving daughter, Stephanie Marie (Terry) Bentley of Nicholasville, Kentucky; a son, Steven Mark Sexton of Thornton, Kentucky.
Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Steven was preceded in death by three brothers, Willis Lee Sexton, Deannis Sexton and Glennis Sexton and a sister Gwen Adams.
