Obituary for Sonny Lee (Bubo) Bates
Sonny Lee (Bubo) Bates, son of the late Sonny and Sue Isaac Bates was born at Whitesburg, Kentucky January 4, 1967. He entered eternal life Monday, May 13, 2024 at the Greg Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 57 yeras, 4 months and 9 days of age at the time of his passing.
Sonny was married to the late Donna Kay Bates, she passed away, June 29, 2023. He was a loving father, garndfather and friend to all that knew him. Bubo enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by two loving daughrers, Brittany (Jeremy) Maggard of Thornton, Kentucky and Amber (Neil) Caudill of Blackey, Kentucky
Also surviving are four grabdchildren, BJ Maggard, Addison Maggard, Delilah Caudill, Logan Caudill and a host of other relatives and friiends to mourn his passing.
Sonny was preceded in death by a son. B.J. Bates.
