Obituary for Sonia G. Fields
Sonia "Sonny" Smith Fields, was the daughter of the late Clifford Smith and Wilma Jean Sturgill Smith. She was born on February 19, 1959. She won her race on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky being 56 years, 3 months and 1 day at the time of her journey's end here on earth. Sonny married the love of her life Levine "Soup Bean" Fields on May 24, 1980 at the Big Cowan Holiness Church. This union of marriage brought her the biggest joys of her life, her kids. Sonny's other joy's besides her family was serving the Lord whole heartedly, since the age of 13. Her faith never wavered through the storms of life. She was a pillar, inspiration and prayer warrior to her church family at Whitco Pentecostal Faith Tabernacle. She dedicated her life and love to the works of the church's youth and served as a Sunday school teacher for over 38 years. She leaves behind the love's of her life, her loving husband, Levine Fields of Cowan, Kentucky. One son, Jeremiah Levine Fields and Fiance Brittney of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Three daughters; Gretta Lynn Fields of Cowan, Kentucky, Rachel Ann Fields of Cowan, Kentucky and Future Shanae Fields of Cowan, Kentucky. One grandchild, Michael Wayne of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Two brothers; Bill Smith of Harrison, Ohio and Gary Smith of Whitco, Kentucky. Two sisters; Judy (Jim) Fields of Cowan, Kentucky and Alecia (John) Conn of Whitco, Kentucky. She also leaves behind a host of family, friends and church family to celebrate her going home. Sonny was greeted at heaven's gate by one son, Malachi Fields. Her parents, Clifford and Wilma Jean Smith. Two brothers, Michael Smith and Roger Smith. One sister, Debra Smith and a host of other loved one's who have done gone on before her.
