Obituary for Shelby Jean Pratt
Shelby Jean Pratt, daughter of the late Corbett and Ada Back Bowen was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, November 23, 1936. She entered eternal life Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital being 85 years and 23 days of age at the time of his passing.
Shelby was married to the late Remus Pratt January 19, 1957. He passed away March 27, 1972. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by two sons; Erbie (Pam) Pratt of Ermine, Kentucky and Duke (Diane) Pratt of Thornton, Kentucky. Three daughters; Pam Armstrong of Indianapolis, Indiana, Rena Pratt of Wise, Virginia and Maxie (Greg) Coots of Kingscreek, Kentucky.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Shelby was preceded in death by a daughter, Bridgett Pratt Adams. Two granddaughters; Tia Dawn Branham and Samantha Hope Coots. One sister, Henrietta Clemons. One brother, Royce Bowen.
