Obituary for Shelby Barry Amburgey
Shelby Barry Amburgey, son of Margaret Laverne Johnson Amburgey and the late Estill Amburgey was born May 8, 1965 in Ocoee, Florida. He entered eternal life Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky being 56 years, 2 months and 14 days of age at the time of his passing.
Barry had a really outgoing personality and was well known in the community. He had the ability to make everyone smile and was everyone's friend. Barry was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to all that knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret Laverne Amburgey of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Four brothers; William Blaine Amburgey of Tazwell, Tennessee, Robert Lee Amburgey of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Jerry (Linda) Amburgey of Neon, Kentucky and Mark Amburgey of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Two sisters; Vernica Amburgey of Blackey, Kentucky and Veronica Mae (Bob) Sexton of Cumberland, Kentucky. Two special nieces; Brandi Thomas and Shianne Eldridge.
Also surviving are six nephews, two nieces, eight great nieces and six great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
