Obituary for Ruth Yonts
Ruth Yonts, daughter of the late Harvey and Polly Woods Sandlin was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky June 17, 1942. She entered eternal life Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center at Pikeville, Kentucky being 78 years, 5 months and 11 days of age at the time of her passing.
Ruth was married to George Yonts in 1970 in Clintwood, Virginia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by her husband, George Yonts of Neon, Kentucky. Three sons; Keith (Carolyn) Yonts of Neon, Kentucky, Brian (Charlotte) Yonts of Payne Gap, Kentucky and Shane Yonts of Knott County, Kentucky. Two daughters; Regina Yonts of Tennessee and Brittney Mullins of Neon, Kentucky. Four sisters; Marie Sexton of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Mary Baker of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Gertrude Baker of Thornton, Kentucky and Lettie Hall of Whitesburg, Kentucky.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Kristen, Tiffany, Madison, Gage, Ridley, Kennedy, Jody, Taylor and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Ruth was preceded in death by a brother and several sisters.
