Obituary for Ruth Dollarhide
Ruth Dollarhide, daughter of the late Carmel Boggs Sturgill was born December 17, 1947 in Letcher County, Kentucky. She entered eternal life at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky Sunday, December 13, 2020 being 72 years, 11 months and 13 days of age at the time of her passing.
She was married to Odell Dollarhide April 13, 1964. He preceded her in death on October 23, 1994. Ruth loved going to church, cooking, going on beach trips and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons; Duane (Melissa) Dollarhide of Potters Fork, Kentucky, Chris (Becky) Dollarhide of Smoot Creek, Kentucky. Two daughters; Michelle (David) Sexton of Little Colly, Kentucky and Amy Taylor of UZ, Kentucky. Two brothers; Darrell Sturgill of Cowan, Kentucky and Enoch Sturgill of North Carolina. Eleven grandchildren; Katie Short, Olivia Wagner, Amanda Boggs, Corey Dollarhide, Mallory Fields, Jacob Dollarhide, Dalton Dollarhide, Caleb Dollarhide, Tyler Sexton, Jordan Taylor and Emily Taylor.
Also surviving are 10 great grandchildren and a host other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
