Obituary for Ruth C. Adams
Ruth Coffee Adams, daughter of the late Lonnie and Bessie McClure Coffee was born in Letcher County, Kentucky, July 16, 1930. She entered eternal life Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Whitesburg Apppalachian Regional Hospital being 83 years, 2 months and 14 days of age at the time of her passing. Ruth was married to the late Bobby Lee Adams for 38 years , he passed away November 24, 1998. She had been a hair dresser for over 50 years, a former member of the Eastern Star Hester Day Chapter #54 and a member of the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church in Whitesburg, Kentucky. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her. She is survived by a daughter, Leigh Adams Pomraning of Whitesburg, Kentucky. One son, Scott Adams of Bucharest, Romania. Two brothers; Luster Coffee of Crystal Rivers, Florida and Roger Coffee of Lakeland, Florida. One grandson, Aaron Christopher Fields of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Ruth was preceded in death by a grandson, Alexander Scott Fields. A sister, Kathleen Coffee Shook.
