Obituary for Ruth Banks
Ruth Banks, daughter of the late Tom and Lizzie Boatright Williams was born in Letcher County, Kentucky, April 28, 1921. She entered eternal life Sunday, July 21, 2013 at her residence in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 92 years, 2 months and 23 days of age at the time of her passing. Ruth was married to the late Eli Banks, March 30, 1945. He passed away June 14, 2002. She attended the Mayking Old Regular Baptist Church. Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to alll that knew her. She is survived by her son, Rick (Meri-Beth) Banks of Lexington, Kentucky. Two sisters; Helen Pace and Cecile Conatser of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Two grandchildren; Rick and Dylan. Two great grandchildren; Gracie and Austin. Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Ruth was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon Rose Banks. A grandson, Alex Ross Banks.
