Obituary for Ruby L. Collins
Ruby Louise Stallard Collins, daughter of the late F.G. Stallard and Mary Belle Adams Stallard was born in Letcher County, Kentucky on November 7, 1927. She entered eternal life on Monday, November 23, 2015, at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky, being 88 years and 16 days of age at the time of her passing. She was married to the late Hearl Collins on July 10, 1942. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1986. She was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Whitesburg, Kentucky. She retired from Wal Mart at the age of 68. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, eating out and spending time with her children, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren and her great great grandson, as well as her church family. She is survived by one daughter, Mary (Chalmer) Craft of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Two sons; James (Cotton) (Sharon) Collins of Lexington, Kentucky and Stanley (Buzz) (Bonita) Collins of Redfox, Kentucky. Eight grandchildren: William (Tracey) Craft of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Chris (Christina) Collins of Louisville, Kentucky, David (Cindy) Collins of Paintsville, Kentucky, Bradley Grant Collins of Greenville, South Carolina, Dewayne Banks of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Mica Collins of Lexington, Kentucky, Valarie (Matt) Combs of Louisville, Kentucky and April (Chris) Slone of Manchester, Kentucky. Nine great grandchildren; Mackenzie, Sydney, Jessica Craft, Aresenio Love, Abigail Lawson, Mason Baker, Paige Collins, Claire Collins and Lou Ann Collins. One great great grandson, Jaxon Able Slone. Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Grant Collins and three brothers; J.W. Stallard, Riley Clay Stallard and Grant Stallard Jr.
