Obituary for Roy J. Ables
Roy J. Ables, son of the late Roy and Elizabeth Ables was born in Kona, Kentucky on September 17, 1936. He entered eternal life Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Brookhaven Nursing home in Brookville, Ohio being 80 years,10 months and 16 days of age at the time of his passing.
Roy was a loving and dedicated husband, father, brother, papaw and a great friend to all that knew him. He enjoyed many things, but his greatest joy was his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Day Ables of Eaton, Ohio. A daughter, Rhonda (Eric) Miller of Springboro, Ohio. Two sons, Rick Ables of Dayton, Ohio and Rodney Ables of Germantown, Ohio. Three brothers, Jimmy Ables of Spring Valley, Ohio, Jack (Marnell) Ables of Jamestown, Ohio and Bill Ables of Columbus. Ohio. One sister, Norma Sparks of Xenia, Ohio.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Katlyn, Emmett, Jacob, Jude, Olivia and Connor. Great-granddaughter, Faith. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Ables. Four sisters, Anna Newsome, Emma Brown, Alene Houston and Evelyn Venters. Daughter-in-law, Nicolette Ables.
