Obituary for Roger Eversole
Roger Eversole, son of the late Carl and Grethel Prater Eversole was born July 26, 1942 in Hardburly, Kentucky. He entered eternal life Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at his residence in Lotts Creek, Kentucky being 78 years, 8 months and 26 days of age the time of his passing.
Roger married Avanell Gayheart on April 14, 1961 in Knott County, Kentucky. They had just celebrated 60 years of marriage. He loved to work on and restore old cars. Roger was well known as a gunsmith throughout the area possessing the unique talent of "bluing" gun barrels for several years. He really enjoyed taking trips on his motorcycle with his wife. Roger loved spending time with his family most of all. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all that knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Avanell Eversole of Lotts Creek, Kentucky. A son, Roger D. (Sherry) Eversole of Lotts Creek, Kentucky. Two granddaughters; Erica (Caleb) Howard of Whitesburg, Kentucky and Whitney (Travis) Cornett of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Three great grandchildren; Brooklyn Howard, Damon Howard and Presley Cornett. Two brothers; Michael (Louise) Eversole of London, Kentucky and Jesse Eversole of Big Creek, Kentucky. Six sisters; Lillian Sparkman, Charlotte (Ronald) Feltner, Nina Price, Gloria Tartaglia, Karlin Demarcello and Judy Eversole.
Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by a son, Danny Eversole. One brother, Carl Wayne Eversole. Two sisters; Janet Lowe and Loraine Feltner.
