Obituary for Rita Collins
Rita Lewis Collins, daughter of the late Johnny and Polly Creech Lewis was born at Gilley, Kentucky September 17, 1929. She entered eternal life Sunday, December 16, 2018 at her residence at Colson, Kentucky being 89 years, 2 months and 29 days of age at the time of her passing.
Rita was married to the late Otis Collins. He passed away in 1985. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her. Rita enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving son, Johnny (Melissa) Collins of Isom, Kentucky. One special grandson, Austin (Mellisa) Collins of Colson, Kentucky. One brother, Walter Lewis of Ohio. Two sisters; Edna Davis of Tyler, Minnesota and Elena Crase of Franklin, Ohio.
Also surviving are four grandchildren; Tara Collins of Isom, Kentucky, Katie Ellish of Richmond, Kentucky, Joseph Ellish of Jackhorn, Kentucky, Destiny Collins of London, Kentucky and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Rita was preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Collins. A granddaughter, Amanda. Four brothers; Delmer Lewis, Ray Lewis, Herman Lewis and Elmer Lewis.
