Riley Cook, son of the late Louis and Susan Adams Cook was born at Dry fork, Kentucky, July 27, 1934. He entered eternal life on Monday, November 11, 2024 at the Greg Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 90 years, 3 months and 14 days of age at the time of his passing.
Riley was married to the love of his life Opal Cornett Cook, she passed away March 16, 2018. He was a loving father, grandather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother and great friend to all that knew him. Riley was a member of the Premium Baptist Church in Premium, Kentucky.
He is survived by his five sons, Mark (Debbie) Cook, Donald Keith Cook, Michael Cook, Shawn (Amy) Cook and Robert Cook all of Whitesburg, Kentucky, a daughter, Pamela (Ott) Mullins of London, Kentucky, two brothers, Wendall (Sarah) Cook of Somerset, Kentucky and Wilmer (Patsy) Cook of Danville, Kentuclky.
Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Riley was preceded in death by two sons, Danny Cook and Timothy Cook, a daughter, Deborah Rylene Cook, a grandson, TJ Cook, two brothers, Elmer Cook and Edgar Cook, four sisters, Thelma Bays, Hazel Brown, Esta Smith and Mabel Cook.
