Obituary for Richard Adams
Richard Wiley Adams, son of the late Wiley and Ritter Kincer Adams was born in Letcher County, Kentucky, September 5, 1929. He entered eternal life Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital being 83 years, 9 months and 23 days of age at the time of his passing. Richard was married to Pauline Blair Adams, October 11, 1952. He was a member of the Whitesburg Masonic Lodge No. 754. Richard taught school for 44 years in the Letcher County School System where he coached ball and drove a school bus. He also worked at the A&P grocery store from 1955 until it's closing. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to all that knew him. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Adams of Mayking, Kentucky. One son, Rick (Rachel) Adams of Mayking, Kentucky. Three sisters; Mary Rebecca Polly of Mayking, Kentucky, Ina (Niles) Walton of Naples, Florida and Judy (Carlos) Brown of Lexington, Kentucky. A sister-in-law, Juanita Wampler of Dayton, Ohio. Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Richard was preceded in death by three sisters; Eva Marie Adams, Edith Pauline Adams and Faye Kincer.
