Obituary for Phyllis Ann Tackett
Phyllis Ann Tackett, daughter of the late Charlie Ross and Agnes Taylor Collins was born at Jackhorn, Kentucky, March 21, 1941. She entered eternal life Friday, May 18, 2018 at her residence in Hemphill, Kentucky being 77 years, 1 month amd 27 days of age at the time of her passing.
Phyllis married Luther V. Tackett, August 21, 1959. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister and a great friend to all that knew her. Phyllis enjoyed cooking, working in her garden and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a active member of the Hemphill Baptist Church in Hemphill, Kentucky and an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan.
She is survived by her loving husband, Luther V. Tackett of Hemphill, Kentucky. A daughter, Denise (TC) Tackett of Payne Gap, Kentucky. A son, Johnnie Ross (Marie) Tackett of Seco, Kentucky. Two brothers, Glenn Collins and Douglas Collins both of Dayton, Ohio.
Also surviving are five grandchildren; James Allen Hall, Chelsie Jasmine Hall, Dustin Ross Tackett, Hunter Shade Tackett and Dalton Reese Tackett. One great-grandson, Gunner James Hall and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Phyllis was preceded in death by one sister, Billie Jean Garrett. Two brothers, Tommy and Conley Collins.
