Obituary for Owen Gibson
Owen Gibson, son of Codell and Carlene Sturgill Gibson Oliver was born on May 7, 1972. He entered eternal life on November 24, 2013 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital being 41 years, 6 months and 17 days of age at the time of his passing. Owen married Nikki Boggs Gibson November 29, 1997 in Cowan, Kentucky. He had a passion for coaching kids in football. He also enjoyed hunting, riding four wheelers and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the 1991 graduating class of Whitesburg High School. He is survived by his loving wife, Nikki Gibson of Cowan, Kentucky. Two sons; Owen Gibson II of Cowan, Kentucky and Dakota Kane Gibson also of Cowan, Kentucky. Father, Codell Gibson of Ermine, Kentucky. Mother, Carlene Gibson Oliver of Paris, Kentucky. One brother, Codell Gibson III of Paris, Kentucky. Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Owen and Geneva Sturgill and Codell and Zola Gibson.
