Obituary for Otis Sexton
Otis Sexton, son of the late Lute and Cordia Burke Sexton was born in Letcher County, Kentucky, November 22, 1931. He entered eternal life Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 81 years, 8 days of age at the time of his passing. Otis married Madge Royce, June 1, 1960 at Cromona, Kentucky. He was a member of the Neon Church Of Christ and the United Mine Workers. Otis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed watching TV and reading the Mountain Eagle. He worked for 14 years as a coal miner and 18 years at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife, Madge Sexton of Jackhorn, Kentucky. One son, Michael Oneal and wife Damaris Noelle Sexton of Paducah, Kentucky. One brother, Lawson Sexton of Jackhorn, Kentucky. Two sisters, Nadine Johnson of Grove City, Ohio, Margaret Peggy Maggard of Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Mallory Danielle Billick and Kalin Michael Sexton. One great-grandson, Jacob Michael Billick and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Otis was preceded in death by a sister, Imogene King and one brother, Bobby G. Sexton.
