Obituary for Orell Fields
Orell Fields, son of the late Nelson and Phoebe Adkins Fields was born at Cowan, Kentucky January 30, 1942. He entered eternal life Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Norton Community Hospital in Norton, Virginia being 76 years, 2 months and 28 days of age at the time of his passing.
Orell married Laura Hampton June 13, 1964 in Clintwood, Virginia. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army. Orell enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising a garden and spending time walking around the house. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all that knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Fields of Cowan, Kentucky. One son, Jeff Fields of Wise, Virginia. Two brothers; Rex (Tilda) Fields of Whitesburg, Kentucky and Dean (Kathy) Fields of Glade Hill, Virginia.Eight Sisters: Kathryn (Merle) Hoskins of Union, Kentucky, Evelyn Fields of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Ella (Mark) Caudill of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Juanita (Curtis) Caudill of Cowan, Kentucky. Janet (Johnny) Napier of Cowan, Kentucky, Libby (Johnny) Honeycutt of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Helen (Danny) Roberts of Cowan, Kentucky and Lisa (David) Howard of Lexington, Kentucky.
Also surviving are one granddaughter, Chelsea (Jordan) Newsome, One great grandson, Jace Newsome both of Bristol, Tennessee and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Orell was preceded in death by six brothers; James C. Fields, Howard Fields, Richard Fields, Delmer Fields, Ralph Fields and Gary Fields.
