Obituary for Opal Marie Adams
Opal Marie Adams, daughter of the late Howard and Betty Adkins Polly was born at Isom, Kentucky, August 31, 1929. She entered eternal life Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital being 88 years, 7 months and 15 days at the time of her passing.
Opal was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all that knew her. She was married to the late Junior Adams who passed away November 5, 2006. Opal was a member of the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church at Millstone, Kentucky.
She is survived by two daughters; Shirley Sturgill of Isom, Kentucky and Elena Chapman of Trenton, Michigan. One foster son, Charlie Mullins of Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
Also surviving are five grandchildren; Tonya, Belinda, Adam, Jennifer and Charles Eugene. Seven great grandchildren; Amanda, Samantha, Evan, Vada, Etta, Laya and Madison. One great great grandson, Memphis Ray and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Opal was preceded in death by two sisters; Faye Taylor and Eulah Maggard. Two brothers; Clyde Polly and Eugene Polly.
