Obituary for Oma Hatton

Oma Hatton, daughter of the late Bill and Cinda Fields Howard was born November 21, 1930 in Blackey, Kentucky. She entered eternal life on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky being 86 years, 8 months and 28 days of age at the time of her passing.

Oma was married to the late Clyde Hatton. He passed away September 27, 2009. Oma was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and a great friend to all that knew her. Oma was a spiritual lady who loved to praise and worship Jesus. She attended Whitco Pentecostal Faith Tabernacle Church. She loved her dog Susie and enjoyed writing articles for the Mountain Eagle.

She is survived by her loving children, Larry (Linda) Hatton of Marlowe, Kentucky, Astor (Rosemary) Hatton of Georgetown, Kentucky, Rob Hatton of Owensboro, Kentucky and Billy (Sandra) Hatton of Campbranch, Kentucky. Six brothers, Hubert Howard, Charles Howard and Jack Howard all of Whitesburg, Kentucky, John Howard of Payne Gap, Kentucky, Hillard Howard of Lady Lake, Florida and Bobby Howard of Ice, Kentucky. Three sisters, Betty Tyree of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Joann Brown of Indianapolis, Indiana, Judy Green of Beanstation, Tennessee.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Oma was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Joan Hatton, One brother, Eddie Howard. Three sisters, Della Pennington, Louise Shepherd and Kathleen Brock. One grandchild, Stephan Clyde Hatton.
