Obituary for Nova Poloskey
Nova Poloskey, daughter of the late Hiram and Sinda Combs Lewis was born August 26, 1924 in Premium, Kentucky. She entered eternal life Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Hospital being 92 years and 1 month of age at the time of her passing.
She was married to Paul Poloskey August 15, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan. He preceded her in death December 22, 2001. Nova was a member of the Whitesburg ARH Ladies Auxiliary. She was a devout member of the Whitesburg First Baptist Church. She also worked in the Letcher County food pantry for several years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Rudy of Springfield, Ohio. One brother, Roland Lewis of Kentucky. Five grandchildren; Brett (Emily) Rudy, Paul Rudy, Josh Rudy, Ashlee Baugh, and Anna Baugh. Two great grandchildren; Claire Rudy and Mary Rudy. Her special friends; Fred and Cheryl Hall, Tick and Diane Lewis, and Teresa Fields.
Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Lynn Baugh. Three sisters; Rena Skeens, Ruby Wright, and Cuba Sluder. One brother, Nolan Lewis.
