Obituary for Nancy Duty
Nancy Andrianna Wise-Duty, daughter of Betty Victoria Brock Wise and the late John Andrew Wise, was born at Whitesburg, Kentucky on February 6th, 1963. She passed into eternal life suddenly on Friday, May 31st, 2013 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky. She was 50 years of age at her passing. Nancy married her life - long love, Kevin Duty on October 28th, 1988. Together, they had one child, Caleb Andrew. He was her heart and soul. Nancy graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting. She was a district manager with the internal revenue servicefor over 25 years. Nancy has been a member of the First Church of God in Neon, Kentucky for 40 years and belonged to the W.C.G.'s. She was President of the Fleming-Neon Little League and also served as a board member as well as being the President of the Letcher County Central Football boosters. Nancy was active as a booster or volunteer in any activity or sport in which Caleb participated; this was one of her greatest pleasures in life. Nancy devoted every ounce of herself to her family and friends. Her Mother Betty was her best friend and she loved her dearly. Nancy and Betty both loved to decorate, especially for Christmas. Her home was magical during this tme of year with every room and every inch of her yard wrapped in lights, displays and wreaths, thanks to Kevin and Caleb. She very much enjoyed spending time with her "babies" and entertaining family and friends any chance she got. She was always thinking of others and going out of her way to do anything she could to help people. She was our angel. Nancy is survived by her devoted husband: Kevin Duty; Son: Caleb Andrew Wise-Duty; and mother Betty Wise. Mother and Father-in-law: Audra and Phyllis Duty, all of Neon, Kentucky. She is also survived by a special "extended" family, The Richardson's: John Michael (Brandy), Justin and Joshua and their "babies" Jaden, Reagan, Reese, Parker, Jaci, Sarah, Lauren and John Andrew. Their "Aggie" will be missed greatly. Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved Father: John Andrew Wise and: Sadie Wise Hansel.
