Obituary for Mary Eva Craft Spicer
Mary Eva Craft Spicer, daughter of the late Grant and Rachel Craft was born in Norton, Virginia June 20, 1912. She entered eternal life Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Letcher Manor Nursing Home in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 101 years and 1 day of age at the time of her passing. Eva was married to the late Obie L. Spicer. He passed away June 10, 1978. She was a member of the Mayking Baptist Church in Mayking, Kentucky and Eastern Star Pine Mountain Chapter Number 247. Eva enjoyed crocheting, cooking and making cookies. She was a member of the first graduating class of the Fleming Neon High School. She is survived by her two loving sons: John Spicer and wife Jo of Neon, Kentucky and Obie Spicer and wife Linda of Lancaster, Kentucky. One daughter, Tressie Conley of Neon, Kentucky. One sister, Ruby Gilliam of Minerva, Ohio. Also surviving are a 8 grandchildren, 18 great - grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Eva was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Denise Spartman. Four brothers, Nathaniel Craft, Curtis Craft, Dickson Craft, Ezra Craft that was a twin to Eva. Two sisters, Tressie Allen, and Virginia Abromavich.
