Obituary for Mary B. Lucas
Mary B. Lucas, daughter of the late Robert and Lillie Mae Hall Deaton was born in Letcher County, Kentucky, December 26, 1929. She entered eternal life Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 88 years, 2 months, and two days of age at the time of her passing.
She was married to Elijah Lucas who preceded her in death. She a member of the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Mary loved her cats, spending time with her children and grandchildren and being outside. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by three daughters; Linda (Elbert) Lee of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Goldie Cooper of Tazewell, Tennessee and Carol (Tim) McCray of Thornton, Kentucky. One stepson; Onas Lucas of Thornton, Kentucky. Nineteen grandchildren; Elbert Jr., Angie, Rocky, Mary Ann, John, Mark, Kristie, Joey, David, Bobby, Casey, Keeston, Katrina, Sabrina, Sheila, Tina, Mike, Kevin and Jessie.
Also surviving are several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by two daughters; Ruth and Kathy. One stepdaughter; Eunice Bentley. Five sisters and three brothers.
