Obituary for Marty Whitaker
Marty Whitaker, son of Anita Green Whitaker and the late Elbert Ray Whitaker was born at Jenkins, Kentucky, September 1, 1960. He entered eternal life Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky being 62 years, 10 months and 14 days of age at the time of his passing.
Marty was married to Martha Wynn Whitaker, August 1, 1980. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all that knew him. Marty was a member of the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Whitaker of Jenkins, Kentucky. His mother, Anita Whitaker of Bean Station, Tennessee. One son, Trenton Whitaker of Lexington, Kentucky. Three daughters; Danielle (Jeff) Gateley of Walkertown, North Carolina, Cassie (Tom) Stamper of Georgetown, Kentucky and Haley (Logan) Johnson of Jenkins, Kentucky. One brother, Eddie (Jennifer) Whitaker of Hazard, Kentucky. Two sisters; Sandra (Richie) Holbrook of Jefferson City, Tennessee and Tammy (Jimmy) Wright of Jenkins, Kentucky.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Paisley, Ezra, Elijah, Colt, Gracie, Lane, Lincoln, Lawson and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
