Obituary for Martha Bates
Martha Bates, daughter of the late Charles and Goldie Hall Fleming was born at Jenkins, Kentucky August 13, 1947. She entered eternal life Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at her residence at Millstone, Kentucky being 78 years, 5 months and 27 days of age at the time of her passing.
Martha was married to the late Finely "Drum" Bates, he passed away April 14, 2018. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her. Martha enjoyed going shopping with family and attending church.
She is survived by two sons; Charles (Kathy) Bates of Blountville, Tennessee and Thomas Bates of Millstone, Kentucky. Two daughters; Lettie Brown and Goldie Collins both of Millstone, Kentucky.
Also surviving are several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Martha was preceded in death by two brothers: Elijah Fleming and Oscar Fleming, two sisters; Barbra Lee and Marie Fleming. Two son in laws: Woody Brown and Terry Collins and a daughter in law, Tracy Bates.
