Obituary for Mark Stephen Sturgill
Mark Stephen Sturgill, son of Darlene Brown Sturgill and the late Winston Sturgill was born in Letcher County, Kentucky on November 12, 1966. He entered eternal life Monday, May 5, 2014 in Letcher County, Kentucky being 47 years, 5 months, and 23 days of age at the time of his passing. Mark married Connie Stidham Sturgill March 25, 2005 in Eolia, Kentucky. He was a current teacher at Cowan Elementary and a former teacher of the Mayking Headstart. Mark was a member of the Eolia Baptist Church, Letcher County Teacher Organization, and Kentucky Education Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing board games, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving mother, Darlene Sturgill of Eolia, Kentucky. loving wife, Connie Sturgill of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Four daughters, Amelia Mullins of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Carrie Mullins of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Airies Mullins of Whitesburg, Kentucky, and Haley Mullins also of Whitesburg, Kentucky. One brother, Paul David Sturgill and wife Adrienne of Cromona, Kentucky. One sister, Selena Sue Smith and husband Jimmy of Bryantsville, Kentucky. Also surviving are two nieces, two nephews, and two great- nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
