Mark Allen Eldridge, 66, of Smithboro Road,
passed peacefully at home on November 23, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born in Indiana on January 24, 1959 to Ray Dean and Wanda Sue Eldridge.
Mark worked on oil rigs in his younger years and later became a coal miner; a career he dedicated nearly two decades to. His final profession was serving as a school bus driver for 15 years. On March 17, 1977 he married the love of his life, Rita (Brown) Eldridge, and together they raised three children.
Mark was well known for his exceptional woodworking and carpentry skills. He was able to build nearly anything he could envision. Mark was also a dedicated member of Bethana Baptist Church for many years. He really enjoyed going to church. His talent for making homemade confections was also widely cherished- especially his famous peanut butter fudge.
He is survived by his wife, Rita, his children: Tanicia, Heather (Shawn) and Casandra; his grandchildren: Alex, Jeffrey, Marcus, Haleigh, Marisa, Ashlyn and Christian and a host of extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his most loved canine companion, Jax.
