Obituary for Mackie Cook
Mackie Cook, son of the late R.C. and Maggie Gibson Cook was born July 4, 1951 at Haymond, Kentucky. He entered eternal life Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the Whitesburg ARH Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 71 years, 11 months and 16 days at the age at the time of his passing.
Mackie was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend to all that knew him. He was a member of the Haymond Freewill Baptist Church at Haymond, Kentucky and the Neon Lions Club of Neon, Kentucky and a committee board member of Sky-View Park at Haymond, Kentucky. Mackie married Abby Collier Cook, May 6, 1972. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Abby Cook of Cromona, Kentucky; a sister, Rosetta Yinger of Cromona, Kentucky; four nieces; Janie (Jim) Brown of Pennsylvania, Melissa Dollarhide of Cromona, Kentucky, Jeannie Bentley of Payne Gap, Kentucky, Crystal Rose of Payne Gap, Kentucky; one nephew, Forster Yinger of Pennsylvania.
Also surviving are a host of great nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Mackie Cook.
