Obituary for Mable Cornett
Mable Cornett, daughter of the late George and Anna Jones Whitaker was born in Letcher County, Kentucky, August 2, 1921. She entered eternal life Monday, April 27, 2015 being 93 years, 8 months, 25 days of age at the time of her passing. Mable married Earlis Cornett December 23, 1939 . He passed away April 23, 1988. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was also a member of the Tolson Creek Old Regular Church. She is survived by two loving daughters, Earlene Williams and Glenna Harris (Mike) of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Two brothers, Woodrow Whitaker of Roxanna, Kentucky and Thomas Whitaker of Connersville, Indiana. One sister, Georgia Adams of Letcher, Kentucky. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Wendy and Husband Claude Little, Nikki and husband Marcus Bowling, Leah Harris and Cory Harris. Five great-grandchildren, Luke, Sam, Jonah Little, Jake and Josie Bowling. Caretakers, Penny and Kirby Troech, Barbara Holland, Ashley Cornett, Sharon Johnson, Maggie Hughes and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Mable is preceded in death by two daughters, Judith Ann Cornett and Sue Carolyn Cornett. Six sisters, Mary Locke, Iolene Roark, Jewell Young, Clara Halcomb and Martha Cornett.
