Obituary for Mabel Irene Absher
Mabel Irene Absher, daughter of the late Henry Clay and Dinva Hatton Absher was born at Marlow, Kentucky, April 6, 1926. She entered eternal life Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the Letcher Manor Nursing Home in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 95 years, 8 months and 20 days of age at the time of her passing.
Mabel enjoyed sewing, crocheting and going to church. She worked for Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital for 33 years. Retiring in 1988. There was nothing she enjoyed more than working in the nursery with the babies.
She is survived by a special niece Patty (Jerry) Nantz of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Roy Absher, Chester Absher, Edgar Absher, Sam Absher and Stanley Absher. Three sisters, Maggie Brown, Lucy Wilson and Mattie Thomas.
