Obituary for Luther Martin, Jr
Luther Martin, Jr., son of the late Luther and Lillie Mae Hall Martin was born October 27, 1942 in Colson, Kentucky. He entered eternal life Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 77 years, 10 months and 5 days of age at the time of his passing.
Luther married Anita Harden Martin February 11, 2012 in Whitesburg, Kentucky. He was a member of the 1960 Fleming Neon High School graduating class. He loved dancing, running, softball, bowling and horse races. He was an avid UK fan. Luther was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all that knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Little Martin of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Four sons; Greg Martin of Herriman, Tennessee, Bruce Jacobs of Kingsport, Tennessee, Willie Wyatt of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Fredrick Profitt of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Two grandchildren; Jackson Martin and Ivay Ann Jacobs. Two brothers; Pete Martin and Curt Martin both of Colson, Kentucky. Four sisters; Anita Martin of Colson, Kentucky, Betty "Mike" Johnson of Colson, Louise Gregory of Colson, Kentucky and Virginia Asher of Anderson, Indiana.
Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
