Obituary for Luther David Combs
Luther David Combs, son of the late John D. and Dessie Sexton Combs was born December 27, 1936 in Isom, Kentucky. He entered eternal life Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 82 years, 9 months and 14 days of age at the time of his passing.
Luther was a member and deacon of the Tolson Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to all that knew him.
He is survived by three sons; Charlie D. (Vivian) Combs of Isom, Kentucky, Phillip (Tammy) Combs of Isom, Kentucky and Randy (Amy) Combs of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Five daughters; Marie Hessman of Isom, Kentucky, Shirley Combs Fields of Panama City, Florida, Mindy Combs (Jeff) Hall of Whitesburg, Kentucky, June (Stephen) Bailey of Isom, Kentucky, Linda Combs (Shannon) Barrow of Pensacola, Florida. Four brothers; Edmond Combs of Colson, Kentucky, John D. Combs of Isom, Kentucky, Ernest Combs of Colson, Kentucky, Troy C. Combs of Cynthiana, Kentucky. Three sisters; Wanda Rose Collins of Knott County, Kentucky, Heneretta Caudill of Isom, Kentucky and Letta Mae Hammons of Isom, Kentucky.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren,Tonya Baker,Pam Frohnapfel,Savannah Fields,Sarah Kiser,Tyler Thacker,Izabella Fields,Chelsie Combs,Zoe Bailey,Dawson Combs,Addison Combs and Victoria Watts. 4 grandchildren ,Benjamin Baker,Hannah Baker,Maddi Frohnapfel and Laurali Long and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by two brothers; Earl Combs and Denver Combs.
