Obituary for Lucille Bates Polly
Lucille Bates Polly, daughter of the late Luther and Minnie Baker Bates was born at Whitesburg, Kentucky, August 27, 1940. she entered eternal life Monday, January 8, 2024 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 83 years, 4 months and 11 days of age at the time of her passing.
Lucille was married to the late Rex Polly. He passed away March 13, 2010. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by a daughter, Camelia Polly Turner of Shelbyville, Kentucky. One son, Gregory Cletis Polly of Pikeville, Kentucky. One brother, J.D. Bentley of Nicholasville, Kentucky.
Also surviving are 8 grandchildren; Jake, Justin, Briana, Whitney, Lonnie, Luke, Chelsea, Carolina, 7 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Lucille was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey "Mick" Polly, a great grandson, Wesley Brown and sisters; Alpha Fields, Barbara Duncil, Helen Cook, Joyce Brooks. A daughter-in-law, Monica Coleman Polly.
